Perimenopause & Me

Can perimenopause cause dizziness?

Can perimenopause cause dizziness?

Dizziness is another symptom in the long list of potential symptoms associated with being a woman going through the perimenopause.

I have experienced dizziness during the perimenopause, usually mid cycle and this is again attributed to the tremendous changes in hormone levels. A doctor will examine you to make sure that your dizziness is not being caused by an underlying problem such as Anemia.

Sometimes being tired, stressed, having a hot flush or not eating or drinking properly can cause dizziness during perimenopause.

Eating healthily and avoiding alcohol and coffee may well help to reduce or eliminate your perimenopausal dizziness.

Being iron deficient or anaemic can also cause dizziness, therefore it is important to get checked out by your doctor if you’re experiencing any dizziness during the perimenopause or otherwise.
